    Qualification
    • Matric / N3
    • Trade Tested (Red Seal) Electrician
    Requirements
    • Minimum 5 years post qualification electrical maintenance experience
    • Experience in a FMCG food processing environment
    Duties
    • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
    • Align and balance new equipment after installation
    • Assemble, install and / or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, machinery, and equipment.
    • Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary
    • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
    • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions
    • Maintain and repair specialised electrical equipment and machinery
    • Perform routine preventative maintenance
    • Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams
    • Repair and replace defective equipment parts using had tools and power tools and reassemble equipment
    • Estimate repair cost
    • Inspect drives, motors, and belts and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
