    Business Assurance Specialist

    Job Title: Business Assurance Specialist

    We are seeking a highly skilled Business Assurance Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining an effective control framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate business processes and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and risk mitigation.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments and lines of defence to optimize operations and drive sustained business performance.
    • Assess the existing control framework to identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks.
    • Conduct detailed root cause analysis on Risk events and accurately identify control breakdowns and resultant risk, and understand the extent of the impact.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the business environment and be able to utilize their specialist knowledge and experience to establish and maintain an effective control framework.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial services organization.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

    Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum
