1. Summary
The Site Planner is responsible for the delivery of project planning, reporting and progress measurement, ensuring that Hatch procedures and best practices are applied, as appropriate, and recommending changes to the Lead Planner and Project Controls Manager where required.
2. Key Responsibilities
Safety
A strong personal commitment to safety
Personal responsibility for safety incident reporting
Behavioral-based safety ethos to be embraced
Personal responsibility for stopping any unsafe behavior as and when it occurs, and thereafter reporting the safety incident so that corrective action may be obtained
Familiarization with Hatch safety processes, protocols and procedures.
Data development, verification, and set-up planning
Project coding, project control systems set-up and reporting verification
Based on project coding, populate approved measurable commodity quantities and productivity factors
Based on project coding, confirm, and refine the Construction level 3/4 scheduling, including early works and understand schedule basis.
Analyze contractor level 4/5 schedule and provide recommendations. Discuss any variations from baseline with Lead Planner & Construction Manager.
Maintain and optimize schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues
Project schedule monitoring, updates and general
Update the schedule in conjunction with the lead planner
Generate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reports
Incorporate contract baseline data (contract schedules)
Maintain and optimize schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues
Extract and publish project schedules
Generate progress curves
Develop and maintain commodity and resource profile
Extract and publish 2 to 4-week look ahead schedule
Review & Verification of Sub-Consultants' schedules
Development of Change Management impact schedules.
Physical progress verification of Contractors and Sub-Contractors progress against baseline schedule
Monitor slippages and critical and near critical paths and discuss with Lead Planner and Project Controls Manager for resolution
Progress and performance measurement
Undertake progress and performance measurement.
Integration of Earned and Spent hour reporting.
Identification and addressing slippage trends.
Generate and verify weekly updates and issue reports - schedule and progress reports. Maintain and optimize schedule and monitor progress. Highlight and resolve issues.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Three years tertiary qualification, relevant degree or diploma in engineering or project management or suitable comparable experience
8-10 years' experience as a Planner in a multi discipline project environment
Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environ
