Job summary
The Department of Biochemistry Genetics and Microbiology wishes to make an appointment that will strengthen and grow its teaching and research initiatives.The incumbent will actively participate in teaching curriculum development at undergraduate postgraduate level in genetics genomics building an independent research program securing third-stream research funding fostering local international collaborations partnerships participating in strategic initiatives relating to teaching community engagement participation in departmental Faculty committees task teams.
A PhD-degree in Genetics NQF level 10 or equivalent with a specialisation in molecular genetics genomics three years experience as lecturer module coordinator evidence of ability secure independent third-stream funding excellent communication skills interpersonal skills student-centred mindset are essential for this appointment.
