    Description

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the logistics industry.
    • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts secured by the executive, through effective relationship management and customer service.
    • Follow up on new leads and referrals.
    • Achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential and existing customers.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
    • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build relationships and promote the company.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    Technical requirements:

    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts
    • Matric
    • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
    • Import/Export/Cross Trade Air/Sea knowledge
    • Previous experience with the Ship Shape system will be advantageous
    • Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Excellent knowledge of Incoterms and all major trade lanes into South Africa.
