Theatre Unit Manager for Dolphin Coast KZN - Ruttmann

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Unit Manager to join our team at Ruttmann, a reputable level 3 Private Hospital based in the beautiful coastal region of KZN. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a 4-theatre complex and ensuring that our patients receive safe, cost-effective, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the unit is providing safe and effective patient care in line with our Clinical Governance strategy and evidence-based practice.
• Evaluate the patients' journey through patient experience and stakeholder input to identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate Theatre nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes to ensure we are meeting our standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and promote their health and well-being.
• Ensure that the principles of infection prevention and standard precautions are adhered to at all times.
• Promote good public relations with patients, relatives, and visitors to ensure a positive experience.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and develop and implement strategies to address them.

Requirements:

• SANC registered as a Registered Nurse.
• A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/B Cur Degree).
• Qualification in Theatre Technique Degree/Diploma.
• Diploma in Nursing Administration would be an advantage.
• At least 7 years of experience as a RN.
• At least 2 years of experience in theatre in a private hospital setting as Theatre Unit Manager.
