IT Audit - Director
Purpose of the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following activities and tasks:

  • Manage the delivery of IT audit projects for complex/challenging engagements in line with agreed profitability and value targets;
  • Manage key client relationships;
  • Identify and exploit business development opportunities;
  • Codevelop and document the engagement risk management approach, ensure adequate consideration of the risks and review working papers;
  • Manage multiple audit assignments;
  • Perform detailed information technology audit reviews to assess the client's risk factors and perform related audits to confirm that the risks are mitigated;
  • Reporting to the Audit Committee;
  • Act as an advisor to management regarding the impact of information technology on the internal controls of the business;
KEY DELIVERABLES/OUTPUTS


Growth and Sustainability

  • Ensures the ongoing development and improvement of Company financial guidelines, regulations, principles and standards which ensure adequate control procedures and measures to effectively manage financial transactions
  • Drives growth and performance through affiliations and relationships with a diverse network and existing clients to anticipate demands and needs for development of new products and services

Cost and Resource Optimization

  • Conducts research into global, industry and technology trends for cost and resource optimization tools, techniques and technology
  • Ensures the ongoing monitoring and redesign, when necessary, of the Company structure to support resource optimization
  • Demonstrates personal accountability for the use and management of resources transparently and effectively

Customer Orientation

  • Models and encourages a customer orientated team approach to providing outstanding highquality service to stakeholders.
  • Building and Managing Relationships
  • Builds key alliances and relationships to establish mutually beneficial working arrangements, openly sharing knowledge and insights.

  • Involves the strategic thinking of others to develop an inspiring strategic vision to harness the potential of Client going into the future.
  • Understands the complexities of the business, its strengths and blind spots and determines Company priorities by identifying where action and investment is most needed.

  • Encourages flexibility in the Company to adequately respond to changing needs of Client's stakeholders.

  • Investigates global developments and trends and technologies for the industry and manages the implementation of new development initiatives.
  • Contributes to the development of industry professional technical standards.
  • Maintains all Continuous Professional Development hours as mandated by the relevant professional bodies.

  • Provides direction through open communication of the Company goals and objectives which encourages shared ownership.

Qualifications/experience

  • B Com (Auditing/ Accounting / Finance) or
  • BSc (Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Systems ) or other relevant degree
  • CISA/CISM/CISSP
years' experience in Auditing / IT Auditing with a minimum of 8 years at a Senior Manager level

  • Big 4 experience
