Mission:

Main tasks and responsibilities:


Strategic Operational Planning:


  • Draft and communicate the operational plan, aligning it with company strategies.
  • Coordinate operational activities and departments to ensure seamless daytoday operations.
  • Identify and assess operational risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess operational performance. Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Process Management:


  • Develop, implement, and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that processes align with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Financial Oversight:


  • Develop and manage budgets for operational activities. Monitor and control expenses to ensure financial targets are met, track key performance indicators, and give input for financial reporting.
  • Monitor and control expenses, track key performance indicators, and analyse financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Provide financial reports and forecasts.
  • Implement costsaving initiatives.

Supply Chain oversight:


  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Oversee the maintenance of optimal inventory levels to minimize holding costs.
  • Oversee the supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.

Resource Allocation:


  • Effectively collaborate with department managers, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational needs and achieve organizational objectives.

Leadership and Employee Engagement:


  • Provide effective leadership, setting clear expectations and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Align departmental goals with company strategies and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Facilitate effective communication between different departments within the organization. Collaborate with other managers to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to achieving organizational goals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and implementing best practices.

Quality Assurance oversight:


  • Implement quality control measures to maintain and improve product or service quality.
  • Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the quality control department to address and resolve any qualityrelated issues.

Health and Safety Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and the company's OHS policies and actively promote safety within the work environment.
  • Implement safe working practices, conduct regular safety inspections, and provide training.
  • Collaborate with the health and safety department to address concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:


  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Drive innovation within operations and explore opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in conferences and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Work closely with other departments for effective coordination and communication.

General Administration:


  • Contribute to general administrative tasks that foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in officewide initiatives and adhere to established administrative procedures.
  • Actively engage in communication channels, contribute to a positive workplace culture, and support the overall administrative efficiency of the organization.

Competences, skills and experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Management, Industrial Engineering).
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in electronic manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, quality control, supply chain management, and health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using operational and production management software.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
