Description

Outsourced CFO is looking for an Accounting Consultant who will provide comprehensive client service and support while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Reporting directly to a POD Leader, job responsibilities will include, among other:


- Client Services:


  • Process bank statements, supplier and customer bills, fixed assets and any other accounting responsibilities and reviewing the trainees work that they completed here
  • SARS compliance; including VAT reconciliations, provisional tax calculations, Income Tax calculations and submissions of taxes to SARS. Ensuring clients' tax compliance, under supervision, and the review of tax compliance work done by trainees
  • Compilation of Management Reports and Annual Financial Statements
  • Preparation of working papers for independent review engagements under limited supervision
  • Monthly performance and review of annual accounting ensuring that the balance sheet and income statement are accurate and ready for the compilation of the financial statements
  • Assistance with payroll tasks, including but not limited to, payroll processing & reconciliations, EMP201, EMP501 and COIDA / WCA submissions and review of work done by trainees
  • Engaging with clients to build relationships and assisting and scoping client needs. Assistance on this to juniors
  • Client budget preparation
  • Secretarial services to clients, including but not limited to; annual return preparation, change in company yearend, change in directors, preparation of minutes and resolutions

- Providing Training:


  • Providing on the job training for Accounting Consultants, Junior Accounting Consultants and Trainees
  • Presenting training to the cloud accounting team

- Client Admin:


  • Updating CRM with client details
  • Client Scoping according to scoping document
  • Preparing client proposals under supervision
  • Assisting with client onboarding and offboarding

- Planning & Administration:


  • Preparation of agenda for monthly planning meetings with the POD Leader
  • Timeous submission of Timesheets before COB on Fridays
  • Ensure that all projects assigned to your portfolio are rolled out on a monthly basis, and that all tasks are signed off on a daily basis
  • Review of budgeted vs actual hours spent on clients

- Internal Training & Company Culture:

  • Ensure that scheduled training is completed
  • Collaborate with the team when encountering tasks for which you feel unequipped to ensure their successful completion
  • Deliverable training update
  • Keeping up with the newest accounting industry changes and trends
  • Regular attendance and participation in company team events
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive company culture
  • Promote the company values and ensure that they are being adhered to
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect
