Investec Sandton is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer in the Finance Technology department. The person will be responsible for the testing and support of our Finance Technology applications. This will include functional, non-functional and regression testing; maintaining existing tests and writing new automated tests for projects or BAU's. Automation knowledge and experience is key.

Other responsibilities will include maintenance, and technical support of our applications and batches.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operational and procedural functions and all surrounding interfaces. The role will involve project or business as usual test automation, the resolution of user issues and requests as well as maintenance of systems and related interfaces where required.

Responsibilities include:

• Accountable for the effective creation, measurement and control of the test strategy within Finance Technology

• Review business requirements, creation and execution of Functional, Integration, End-to-End, Regression, UAT & Automation (UI & API)

• Ownership and driving testing tasks from start to finish

• Coordinate and support UAT with business users

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts

• Create and execute test plans and test cases for software applications

• Collaborate with the application teams to identify test scenarios and ensure that all critical business requirements are covered in the test plan

• Analyze test results and debug errors

• Report and track defects and work with the application teams to resolve them

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives

• Continuously learn new testing technologies and tools

Experience, skill and capability

• Minimum of 6 years testing experience

• Test Automation experience

• Strong stakeholder and interpersonal management skills

• Influential individual able to motivate themselves and their team to deliver exceptional service

• C# (preferable) / Java

• Microsoft SQL Server

• Azure DevOps (advantageous)

• API Testing
