    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    This role oversees a team of financial and client relations consultants, driving the achievement of objectives and overall branch performance.

    1. Sales Performance Management: Ensures sales targets and objectives are met by supporting and motivating the consultant team to drive sales and service of insurance and lending products, as well as referrals and collections.
    2. Branch Operations Management: Manages the branch as a profit centre, balancing product sales, service, and expenses.
    3. Talent Development: Identifies talent, conducts performance appraisals, handles disciplinary issues, and monitors staff attendance to develop internal capabilities.
    4. Policies and Procedures: Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and values in all branch operations, conducting manager reviews and audits as necessary.
    5. Training and Coaching: Provides ongoing training and coaching to consultants, focusing on both sales and soft skills development.
    6. Operational Planning: Plans and monitors daily and future activities to ensure smooth operation and identify areas for improvement.
    7. Cost Management: Manages branch expenses to support profitability.
    8. Customer Service: Achieves superior customer service through prompt, professional, and effective resolution of client queries and complaints.
    9. Stakeholder Management: Maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively managing referrals between business units.
    10. Business Growth: Proactively identifies new business opportunities and markets products and services to drive business growth.

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Matric or Equivalent NQF 4
    2. RE5 Qualification Advantageous
    3. 3-5 years' experience in Store Management or within a Financial institution

    Package & Remuneration

    Market Related

    The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.
