  • Risk Management

Requirements:


  • A relevant B. degree and professional registration as a Certified Risk
Management Practitioner.

  • In depth knowledge of Risk Management and governance
structures of local government

  • A minimum of 8 years relevant experience within a large

multifaceted institution, including:


  • Experience of reporting to both board and operational levels
  • Proficiency with Risk Management software packages
  • Team Management experience
Key Performance Areas

  • Manage the KPA's and result indicators associated with the Risk
Management Branch

  • Embed and drive a Citywide integrated risk and resilience
framework.

  • Provide strategic direction to lead and drive the development,
planning, implementation and maintenance of the branch

  • Manage the actions and resources of the branch to ensure that
the City remains compliant with the MFMA

  • Manage and direct staff within the branch
  • Drive and manage change within the branch in order to give
effect to risk and resilience framework

  • Engage and manage stakeholders in the City's Risk landscape in
order to deliver integrated risk management approach
