We currently have a great opportunity available for an Installation Electrician (IE) to join our team in Cape Town. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to further their career in the solar industry.

To perform in this role you need an electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems.

Electrician Responsibilities:

Installing and repairing electrical equipment and components which can include switch gear and inverters for solar installations as needed.
Installing Solar Systems.
Performing maintenance on existing electrical equipment for solar installations.
Performing safety checks of all components.
Writing reports and certifications of completion (CoC).
Travelling to customer locations to troubleshoot issues.
Communicating issues and integrations with electrical colleagues.
Providing technical support to electrical colleagues.

Electrician Requirements:

Completion of Electrical Qualification.
Registered with the Department of Labour.
Wireman's License.
Can sign COC's.
3+ years' experience working as an electrician.
High school diploma.
Valid driver's license.
Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge.
Experience in the renewable energy field.
Experience working with Microsoft Office.
