    Commercial Property Manager Position

    Based in Johannesburg, we are seeking a skilled Commercial Property Manager to join our team.

    Minimum Qualifying Criteria

    • A Certified Accountant (CA) or Bachelor of Commerce Law degree is highly advantageous.
    • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in the Commercial and Industrial Property Sector is required.
    • A strong industry network with active connections is essential.
    • Experience working with the broker community is necessary.
    • A legal background within the commercial and industrial property sector would be beneficial.
    • Relevant property knowledge and strong marketing skills are key requirements.
    • Effective leadership skills with a coaching and mentoring approach are necessary.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required.
    • The ability to adapt to changing business needs is crucial.
    • A reasonable understanding of property management laws and regulations specific to the location/type of property being managed is necessary.
    • An understanding of environmental regulations and warehousing operations as they pertain to managing properties in the industrial sector is also necessary.

    Software Skills:

    • MS Office Suite proficiency is required.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • You will leverage your existing industry network to secure property opportunities in the Industrial Sector nationally.
    • A strong track record in sourcing and lead generation for warehouse development in the Property Market (Industrial and Logistics Sector) is necessary.
    • You will present leasing options for new developments.
    • Strong commercial knowledge is required for compiling presentations to prospective tenants.
    • Maintaining strategic relationships with tenants is crucial.
    • Sourcing and articulating market intelligence/data, ensuring updates/trends in the Industrial Warehousing space pertaining to Logistics are timeously brought to the business, and insights capitalized on in line with business strategy.
    • Knowledge of green initiatives that could set a property apart in a competitive market is an added advantage.
    • Collaborative interactions will ensure that commercial properties are well-maintained, fully leased, and financially viable.
    • A good understanding of local market trends and lease negotiations is necessary.
