Job brief
We are looking for a reliable
Client Liaison Officer (CLO) to contact debtors and claim outstanding debts. You will be responsible for recovering the money owed according to the Confirmation of Order.
The CLO will be responsible for confirming with the client the agreed terms and conditions of the contract presented by the Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
- Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Create trust relationships with debtors, when possible, to avoid future issues
- Update account status and database regularly
- Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
- Work closely with a legal team to obtain payments, when applicable
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as debt collector (3 years minimum)
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Excellent communication, negotiating, and people skills
- Apt in negotiating and persuading?
- Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence
- High school diploma is a requirement, and a relevant tertiary qualification is beneficial
Remuneration & estimated start date
Salary:
$ 900 USD - $ 1,100 USD per month, depending on experience.
Start date:
Week of the 12th of Jan 2023
Pay:
R13, R17,000.00 per month
