- Maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and payroll.
- Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations.
- Diploma or certificate in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Additional certifications (e.g., ICB Bookkeeping) are advantageous.
- 23 years of proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Pastel).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Familiarity with payroll processing software (optional but beneficial).
- Understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Knowledge of VAT submissions and compliance (if applicable in your region).
- Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
