    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing financial statements and reports.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
    • Prepare financial statements and reports.
    • Process invoices, payments, and payroll.
    • Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations.

    Requirements

    Education

    • Diploma or certificate in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
    • Additional certifications (e.g., ICB Bookkeeping) are advantageous.

    Experience

    • 23 years of proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Pastel).
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
    • Familiarity with payroll processing software (optional but beneficial).

    Financial Knowledge

    • Understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
    • Knowledge of VAT submissions and compliance (if applicable in your region).
    • Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable.

    Soft Skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Good communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
