Job Purpose

  • To provide full personal assistance and administrative support to the General Manager
    Qualifications
  • Matric
    Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years in an Executive Secretarial position.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Knowledge of shorthand or speedwriting is essential.
  • Highly computer literate with complete Microsoft Office Suite expertise.
  • Previous Hotel experience would be an added advantage.

Main Resposibilites

  • Taking minutes of Weekly Non Gaming Committee Meetings, Monthly Uniform Committee, Canteen Committee Meeting, Monthly Internal Financial Meetings, Ad hoc meetings with contractor's and suppliers.
  • Compiling presentations and packs for the above meetings
  • Ensuring reporting deadlines are met by Non Gaming Heads of Departments.
  • Controlling the diaries of the GM
  • Making travel arrangements for the GM ensuring all travel documentation is in order.
  • Typing of memoranda, letters and reports.
  • Ensuring the department has submitted its Operations Report before the deadline date.
  • Screening of the GM telephone calls.
  • General administrative work. Filing, photocopying, controlling internal and external mail.
  • Controlling stationery.
  • Purchase orders, processing of invoices for payment and follow up thereof.
  • Liaising with high profile guests to the property.
  • Coordination of all guest complaints received pertaining to the Non Gaming departments and ensuring that the relevant Management have liaised with the guests accordingly
