    Sales Manager

    We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and excel in sales leadership. The ideal candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans, cultivate key client relationships and maximise hotel revenue.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to achieve maximum revenue contribution from Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) and production segments.
    • Source new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to drive hotel revenue.
    • Promote and actively sell hotel promotions to boost sales and customer retention.
    • Maximise total hotel revenues across rooms, banquets and outlets.
    • Cultivate segment accounts for the hotel through targeted cold calling and regular face-to-face meetings.
    • Nurture relationships and network with production houses, groups, conferences and incentives accounts via 15-20 sales calls per week.
    • Stay informed about hospitality trends, changing customer needs and industry developments.
    • Host clients for familiarisation trips, site inspections and entertainment to increase market visibility and educate key segments on the hotel's capabilities.
    • Ensure timely sales reporting and adherence to the sales process from lead generation to conversion and repeat business.
    • Foster open communication with the DOSM regarding market insights, competitor trends and new supply in Cape Town.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of sales experience in travel, tourism or hotel industries.
    • A proven track record in production and MICE segmentation.
    • Established relationships within these segments.
    • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
    • Diploma or certificate in sales, marketing or hotel management.
    • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle for daily travel and appointments.
    • Similar sales leadership experience.
