    Description

    PURPOSE/MAIN JOB FUNCTION

    Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Data Analyst who:

    • has strong data analytics capabilities,
    • pays attention to detail,
    • delivers work of a high quality,
    • can process, manipulate, and transform large volumes of data (1million+),
    • perform extensive analysis on data and produce summary results in a visual format to ultimately tell a story using data.

    The successful individual needs to be a team player who works alongside others to identify and or contribute to initiatives leading to company success.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Measure and manage the performance across multiple credit products.
    • Evaluate and improve business decisions, substantiated by data driven analyses.
    • Mentoring colleagues.
    • Creating credit strategies.
    • Running and improving forecasting simulations.
    • Reporting back to management around the credit risk status of the business.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Mathematical / statistical background e.g. B.Sc. Mathematics / Statistics / Actuarial Science / Engineering degree.
    • 5+ years in data analysis / modelling (not only using Excel, but other tools including SQL / SAS)
    • Ability to work with millions of rows.

    Computer Literacy

    • SAS (essential)
    • SQL (essential)
    • Advanced Excel (essential)
    • Excel VBA (preferential) / Python (preferential) / R (preferential)

    Travel: International travel may be required from time to time
