    Job Overview

    As a Shift Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in assisting the production and finishing of products to meet planned Sales and Operations requirements efficiently and safely.

    1. Reviewing handover books and completing ongoing tasks from the previous shift.
    2. Placing raw materials on the production floor and preparing necessary solutions.
    3. Managing the removal of empty containers post-charging and ensuring proper setup of filtering equipment.
    4. Verifying accuracy of filled product weights and ensuring they pass Quality Control standards.
    5. Collecting and preparing empty drums for filling, ensuring stencil markings are accurate.
    6. Recording daily dips of bulk stock tanks and other required data.
    7. Cleaning equipment as needed, including basket strainers and cooling vessels.

    About You

    1. A Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics and Science, along with a minimum NQF Level 2 qualification in Chemical Operations learnership.
    2. A valid forklift license and previous experience in a chemical or dispersions plant.
    3. Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSACT) and commitment to maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.
