    Introduction

    Mintek invites applications for a Head Supply Chain Management role. The successful candidate will lead and manage various support services, ensuring organizational requirements are met. They will coordinate, guide, and implement activities in a specific support service unit, managing a significant section of staff. This includes providing specialist mentorship and training, promoting competence, confidence, discipline, and harmony within the division.

    The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field, responsible for preparing monthly management reports, compiling Mintek's annual budget, and reviewing project financials. They must foster a culture of collaboration within Mintek, create an environment for success, and maintain visible leadership.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage support services to meet organizational requirements
    • Coordinate and implement activities in a specific support service unit
    • Manage a significant section of staff, providing specialist mentorship and training
    • Promote competence, confidence, discipline, and harmony within the division
    • Prepare monthly management reports and compile Mintek's annual budget
    • Review project financials and ensure compliance with applicable legislation

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (NQF – level 9)
    • 8-10 years' experience in the relevant field, including supervisory experience

    Essential Skills:

    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Comfortable operating at middle management level and interacting with stakeholders
    • Expertise in operational management, including planning, project management, and problem-solving
