Cape Town is currently recruiting for a
Production Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adherence to and updating of safety regulations, fire rules in the workplace and working procedures
  • Fulfilment of orders issued by superiors, standards of the quality management system and all organizational and control standards of the plant
  • Preparation of data sheets for individual products and adherence thereto, procedures for production and adherence thereto in collaboration with Production Technical
  • Production organization and management according to the principles of the quality management system for all activities which are included in the area of production
  • Fulfilment of the production indicators both for the respective accounting period, and with respect to individual orders in the stipulated quantity and within the stipulated dates of execution
  • Fulfilment of measures aimed at making production more effective
  • Waste management and adherence to the principles of the working environment and environmental protection
  • Creation of conditions for safe and nonhazardoustohealth work; provides for keeping the prescribed records
  • Adherence to the principles of sanitary control, occupational safety and fire protection on the part of all employees working on the line
  • Operability of the line equipment
  • Order in the workplace
  • Fulfilment of organizational and technical measures
  • Trial operation and tests of new materials in collaboration with the Technical Development Department, which the Line Foreman shall provide with all source materials concerning processing on the production line
  • Accurate maintenance of all documentation in the ISO system (EMS and QMS) relating to production
  • Operation of entrusted forklift trucks
  • Execution of monthly stocktaking
  • Activity in accordance with the ISO 9001 and EMS 14001 standards in the entrusted area
