    Junior Financial Advisor (Risk, Retirement and Investments)

    We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Junior Financial Advisor to join our team at a leading Private Bank and Wealth Manager. The ideal candidate will be filled with tenacity, integrity, and unconventional thinking, with a can-do attitude and respect for diversity, competency, and flexible leadership.

    The role of the junior financial advisor is to provide support to senior advisors, allowing them to focus on advising clients. A successful Junior Financial Advisor may then move up to advising clients, dependent on performance, experience, and expertise.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist senior advisors in providing financial advice to clients in accordance with FAIS legislation and Investec's professional financial advice guidelines.
    • Conduct annual financial reviews with clients and maintain close relationships with Private Bankers.
    • Ensure credibility with clients and Private Bankers through effective service delivery.
    • Assist with the sales and marketing of Investec Life product range.
    • Provide technical support to clients through the Client Services Centre.
    • Operate within the Private Bank business strategies and Investec's brand guidelines.

    Requirements:

    • Understanding of long-term insurance business and financial markets.
    • Knowledge of and experience with financial planning processes.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
    • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks under pressure.
    • Team player with initiative and tenacious approach.
    • Ability to close deals and meet targets.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification or CFP preferred.
