Umhlanga. Opportunity exists for Foreman with supervisory experience in the metal industry and solid understanding of aluminium and steel fabrication processes to join well-established concern providing security solutions.

Responsibilities will include ensuring throughput targets are achieved efficiently and to budget through effective leadership and management of the team.

Manage the production process and provide support where necessary.

Take responsibility for productivity and people management including ensuring output requirements are monitored, ensure housekeeping is carried out, liaise with Maintenance, management of teams to ensure production requirements are met and compile monthly reports on progress.

Ensure availability of materials, tools and equipment and monitor stocks and storage.

Requirements:

Minimum Matric
5 years' supervisory experience in the metal industry in a unionized environment
Understanding of aluminium and steel fabrication processes
Technically minded
Basic computer literacy
Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
Structured and detail oriented with the ability to follow tasks through to completion
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and make decisions
Selfstarter who can work unsupervised and manage own time and activities
