Job Title: Key Account Manager and Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Key Account Manager and Sales Manager. This is a permanent position in the sales sector, offering a market-related salary.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of proven experience in the food industry, with expertise in Microsoft Office and strong analytical and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication and delegation abilities, fluency in English and Afrikaans essential.

Duties:

Create and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve overall margin targets set by management.
Develop and manage annual sales budgets and targets for all regions, including international markets.
Monitor actual sales against sales budget from all sales executives and report to management monthly.
Present strategic planning to improve client results and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor behavior, providing regular feedback to management.
Work closely with purchasing, logistics, and planning teams to optimize contract positions, availability, and pricing.
Set and maintain standard pricing based on product cost price and manage customer-specific pricing.
Lead and motivate the sales team, setting annual KPIs and tracking performance on a quarterly basis.
Manage and grow own customer base in Western and Eastern Cape, expanding into Southern Africa by identifying new customers and introducing company portfolios.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, price lists, and customer information in Sage.
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

At least 4 years of proven experience as a Key Account Manager and/or Sales Manager in the food industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Goal-oriented, assertive, and hands-on problem solver.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication and delegation abilities, fluency in English and Afrikaans essential.
Capable of remaining calm under pressure.
Outstanding people skills.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Willing to travel across different regions.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.

Estimated Salary: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
