    About the Job

    As a Cloud Support Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of cloud computing. You will assist a global list of companies and developers in utilizing AWS's growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications.

    This role requires someone who is passionate about cloud computing, has an interest in helping customers understand application architectures and integration approaches, and is familiar with best practices for applications, servers, and networks.

    Responsibilities

    • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers.
    • Interact with leading engineers around the world.
    • Partner with AWS teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
    • Leverage customer support experience to provide feedback with AWS teams on how to improve.
    • Drive customer communication during critical events.
    • Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience.
    • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.

    What We're Looking For

    • 1+ years of software development or 1+ years of technical support experience.
    • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
    • Good knowledge of the Media Layer of the OSI Model (Physical, Data Link, and Network) components and troubleshooting.
    • Good knowledge of Networking (HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, IPSEC) and routing protocols (BGP).
