    Industrial Engineer Job Description

    Main Purpose of Job:

    To ensure the business operates with maximum efficiency, utilizing innovative and modern solutions.

    Key Performance Areas:

    1. Project Management:
      • Manage projects across the business
      • Implement agile and waterfall project methodologies
      • Conduct project impact meetings with scorecards
      • Diagnose and solve bottlenecks in projects
    2. Business Process Improvement (KAIZEN):
      • Implement kaizen principles to improve business processes
      • Act as an internal consultant/process expert for various departments
      • Identify business issues and conduct workshops around problem definition
      • Investigate and measure the extent of problems in each department
      • Solve problems using the most efficient method
      • Maintain and control systems where solutions have been implemented
      • Redesign business processes to work optimally, saving time and resources
    3. Data Analytics:
      • Build and maintain company scorecards tracking company and departmental goals with Power BI
      • Conduct analysis, scenario planning, and simulation through mathematical/management accounting models
      • Promote a culture of data-driven decision making
    4. Innovation/Research:
      • Facilitate workshops for engineers and data analysts to innovate and share ideas
      • Automate business processes through RPA (Power Automate, Power BI, Smartsheet Automation, chatbots)
      • Apply data science through ML and AI
      • Research technology and 4IR ideas to bring into the business

    Minimum Requirements:

    1. Educational Background:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Process Engineering
    2. Competencies:
      • Management Accounting Certification (high-level financial understanding)
      • Project Management
      • Lean Six Sigma
    3. Experience:
      • 0-2 years of experience
