    Description

    We are seeking a National Finance Executive to lead our finance function and support business decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Provide financial leadership to Build it teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and financial acumen.
    2. Promote collaboration between wholesale and retail, driving financial excellence and compliance.
    3. Prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring actuals align with expectations.
    4. Manage the National Build it Finance team, promoting staff development and growth.
    5. Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the group's objectives.
    6. E nsure statutory compliance, adhering to SPAR group legislation and auditor requirements.
    7. Nurture relationships with retailers, suppliers, and staff, while providing leadership through presentations at LDP and MIP programs.
    8. Interpret financial statements, taking corrective action as necessary.
    9. Manage internal audits and develop business growth strategies in conjunction with regional heads.
    10. Implement Best Operating Procedures (BOP) in retail finance, standardizing processes and improving service levels.
    11. Maintain the corporate identity of the brand, ensuring adherence to acceptable financial standards.
    12. Support regional teams in assembling budgets and managing cost centres within budget.

    Minimum Requirements

    1. National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite.
    2. At least 5 years' experience in executive/senior management, specifically in finance.
    3. 5+ years' experience in the building and hardware retail industry, with a focus on customer care.
    4. Excellent financial and business acumen, with knowledge of GART and financial modelling.
    5. In-depth understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes.
    6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in forecasting and budgeting.
    7. SAP - Finance Module experience, good tax and accounting knowledge, and strategic thinking capability.
    8. Track record of meeting operational objectives and customer expectations, with personal characteristics of high energy, self-starter, collaborative attitude, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills.
    9. Emotional maturity, resilience, and high level of computer literacy.
    10. Public speaking/presentation ability to large crowds, with a valid driver's licence.
