Description

A busy bistro style restaurant situated on a beautiful Wine Estate in Somerset West is searching for a well-presented and well-spoken Front of House Supervisor.


_It is essential that Applicants have previous supervisory experience in an upmarket restaurant environment, strong administrative skills, enjoy working under pressure and are able to work with established financial systems.

Own transport required._

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Restaurant administration (including Employee time sheets, processing invoices, Micros administration, function sheets)
  • Supervision of Front of House & Beverage Staff
  • Ensuring waitrons clean up and set up for daily shifts
  • Ensuring waitrons uniforms are 100% neat and tidy and correct
  • Supporting the FOH team during service by managing the front of house systems plus helping out as necessary
  • Raising disciplinary issues with the Restaurant and or Assistant Restaurant Manager as required (not avoiding it)
  • Checking the staff time and attendance register is accurately completed
  • Cashing up waitrons at end of shift
  • Assisting with Beverage / Bar daily stock takes
  • Assisting with Restaurant monthly stock takes
  • Assisting with the processing of wages and tips

Minimum Qualifications / Job Requirements:

  • Hospitality diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in a similar position & prior experience with Micros
  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • A strong sense and understanding of what constitutes world class service and attention to detail
  • A team player
