- Oversee daily production planning and manage production activities to ensure timely service delivery.
- Maintain and implement production documentation.
- Coordinate equipment setup and oversee maintenance and servicing schedules.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards consistently.
- Manage inventory levels to meet order fulfillment requirements.
- Supervise warehouse operations and stock management.
- Assist in the loading of customer orders.
- Uphold Health & Safety regulations (OHS).
- Ensure the production area is organized and clean.
- Handle general production and operations administration tasks.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members as necessary.
- Be available for overtime as required.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Junior/Assistant Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, preferably in woodworking, carpentry, or shop fitting.
- Possess at least a Grade 12 education, with a relevant tertiary qualification being advantageous.
- Experience in engineering, printing, packaging, plastics, woodworking, shop fitting, or signage industries is preferred.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding.
- Experience with OHS practices is essential.
- A Forklift License is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Exhibit a structured and systematic approach to task completion for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Capable of gathering and critically analyzing information to improve performance and productivity.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Possess the personality traits and supervisory skills typical of successful Production Supervisors.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work a standard schedule with potential for additional hours.
