Responsibilities:


  • Generate turnover reports and provide analysis to management.
  • Manage loan accounts and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation.
  • Process journals and maintain proper documentation.
  • Handle SARS PAYE and VAT compliance.
  • Enter transactions into the Xero System accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain petty cash records and perform reconciliations.
  • Assist with yearly audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Verify accounts receivable and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Verify sales, services, vouchers, and discounts.
  • Manage Shopify Spa Vouchers.
  • Process bank payments and perform reconciliation.
  • Export Payfast transactions on a daily basis.
  • Provide administrative support for system administration tasks.
  • Complete monthend accounting processes accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile tips and ensure accurate recording.
  • Manage and invoice internal and external suppliers.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain inventory records.
  • Address Chi Desk queries and provide timely resolutions.
  • Perform general administration tasks as required.
  • Submit insurance claims and follow up on the status.
  • Manage leasing agents and coordinate bank guarantees.
  • Generate reports for directors as requested.
  • Compile standard operating procedures (SOPs) for relevant processes.
  • Prepare and send debt acknowledgement letters.
  • Handle general licensing requirements.
  • Ensure timely payment of levies and municipal accounts.
  • Maintain organized filing and archiving systems.
  • Purchase sundry products as needed.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Possess a 3year Accounting Qualification at NQF Level 6 or above.
  • Matric qualification is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Bookkeeper.
  • Proficient in using Excel for financial calculations and data analysis.
