National responsibility for administration of all IT systems, support functions, related IT infrastructure and IT expenditure. Manage LAN/WAN network architecture and technology. Overview management of main business system hardware and software, management of IT staff, and advancement of any IT projects. Implement best practices, and adhere to company policy. Recommend and implement an IT Strategy to ensure the company's IT investment continues to meet the company's business requirements.

***Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and manage IT strategy including cloud, streamlining operations and implement innovative solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Create and adapt technological platforms to improve the client/ customer experience.
  • Ensure technology platforms, systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals.
  • Plan and direct the implementation of new and upgrading of existing IT systems and thereby establishing ITrelated projects.
  • Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing, including strategic planning in line with the growth of the company
  • Manage and administer the financial accounting packages utilised by the company (JD Edwards,TM1 Cognos)
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development, Meet with managers and directors to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines, Manage information systems personnel and VOIP telephony system.
  • Recommend hire options of contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems as required above the normal course of business.
  • Control and manage the IT budgets and expenditures including CAPEX and OPEX for the entire company.
  • Manage, develop and implement internal information technology solutions, i.e. intranet, Manage, develop and implement website design and updates, Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software ,.NET, Internet Information Server IIS, LAMP, WAMP, Javascript, CSS)
  • Be familiar with all hardware and software, Be familiar with network operating system, Provide recommendations about accessing information and support. Extensive Knowledge of virtualisation and backup technologies that add value (VMware and VEEAM backup and replication).
  • Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access, Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources and, Research current and potential resources and services
  • Oversee the Installation of work stations, Oversee the Connecting and setting up of hardware, Oversee the Loading of all required software, Monitor security of all technology, Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate, Generator and UPS Maintenance
  • Manage all IT contract negotiations and SLA agreements with 3rd party service providers.
  • Prepare, plan and review all IT audit (PWC,KPMG) requirements, polices, procedures and make sure mitigation strategies in line with company goals and objectives
  • Manage and oversee Cybersecurity initiatives to protect and secure company's digital assets.
  • Oversee ICS (Industrial control systems) to ensure proper governance and control over manufacturing IT systems and integration into Corporate IT.
  • Educate and inform all stakeholders about IT business Initiatives and the value IT can add to business operations by ensuring optimisation across all units.
  • Add value and input at Group IT Steering Committee level

  • Familiar with Windows networking concepts, e.g. Domain security model, login scripts and able to debug and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Familiar with network cabling types and devices, e.g. hubs, switches, fiber optic cable and transceivers. Understand routers, NTU's and their roles.
  • Familiar with administration of Windows 2008/2012 servers, creation and management of users, synchronization of passwords across Active Directory.
  • Familiar with correct configuration of Exchange clients and Intranet/Internet connectivity. The role of DNS, and canonical namespaces.
