    Overview:

    The City of Johannesburg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Security Services Manager. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security of our city, with a focus on tactical and operational security services.

    As Senior Security Services Manager, you will be accountable for managing and controlling the provision of security services aligned with the departmental strategic objectives. Your primary function will be to plan, manage, and coordinate physical security within the city, including investigations of security breaches and related incidents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Security Service Delivery: Manage the coordination of physical security within the city, ensuring that all security codes and practices are aligned with departmental strategic objectives.
    • Investigations and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and related incidents, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
    • Operational Management: Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of security contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Human Resources and Finance: Manage human resources, finance, and assets, ensuring that all personnel and financial matters are handled effectively and efficiently.

    Requirements:

    • Education and Qualifications: BTech degree or Advanced diploma in Security Management or any other relevant security-related qualifications at NQF level 7.
    • Experience: A minimum of 9 years' experience in the Safety and Security Industry, with at least 4 years at middle management level.
    • Certifications: Valid grade B PSIRA accredited certificate.
    • Skillset: Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
    • Licenses: Valid Code 'B' driver's license.

    Estimated Salary:

    R550,000 - R650,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
