    Introduction

    We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Cape Town branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and accountability of the branch.

    Key Responsibilities

    Performance Management:

    • Drive sales growth and profitability within the franchise territory.
    • Manage costs effectively.

    Training and Compliance:

    • Ensure all staff adhere to company procedures, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
    • Guarantee that all staff have completed and passed relevant Fastway training modules.
    • Verify that all Contract Feeders (CFs) and Area Distributors (ADs) have undertaken necessary training.
    • Confirm that third-party contractors and temporary staff have undergone required training.
    • Assure that all employees possess:
      • A clean credit record.
      • Passed a polygraph test for acts of deception.
      • A clean criminal record.

      Business Analysis, Planning, and Budgeting:

      • Understand the Fastway system and depot operation.
      • Analyze sales and costs, developing a budget accordingly.
      • Create business plans with each Contract Feeder.

      Communication and Leadership:

      • Establish a positive work environment where employees enjoy their job.
      • Communicate regularly with Contract Feeders, staff, FSOs, and shareholders.
      • Host weekly meetings to ensure performance and compliance.

      Sales and Marketing:

      • Nurture and maintain relationships with key clients.
      • Implement all Fastway sales and marketing initiatives.
      • Increase customer awareness of Fastway in the region.
      • Promote Saturation Marketing constantly.

      CF Recruitment:

      • Regularly advertise and promote new franchise opportunities, assist existing CF splits, and facilitate franchisee sales.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree advantageous.
      • 5 years' experience as General Manager or related title in the franchise industry, demonstrating excellent commercial acumen.
      • Strong leadership, collaborative, and problem-solving skills.
      • Familiarity with corporate law and best management practices.
      • Excellent time management and deadline adherence.
      • Strong analytical skills.
      • Knowledge of accounting principles.
      • Proficiency in branch-level accounting and advanced computer skills (MS Office).
      • Ability to make tough decisions.
      • Quick understanding of new concepts.
      • Good team player with excellent management skills.
      • Determined and motivated.
      • Sense of urgency and deadline adherence.
