Fantastic opportunity for CA(SA) qualified finance professional to join a renewable energies plant in Cape Town.

This team is looking for a CFO to join their management team. Role reports to the CEO and part of a very exciting initiative, with excellent backing and cutting edge technology


Responsibilities:


  • Manage cash release payments, manage bank balances, ensure account payment commitments are met
  • Financial risk analysis insurance, fixed asset valuation, action flow assessments
  • Manage monthly account preparation and board report on Pastel Evolution
  • Prepare and present annual budgets and quarterly reviews
  • Schedule annual financial audit with the auditors
  • Manage debtors and creditors, ensure payments and receivables are within agreed targets
  • Manage statutory reporting of requirements under various government codes. Companies Act, IFRS, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, BBBEE, POPIA, PIA
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, develop relevant policies to ensure compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Tax legislation and maintain a relationship with SARS
  • Act as HR liaison and administrator
  • Act as IT liaison go between for service providers
  • Maintain a good relationship with bankers, project managers and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate litigation/ legal processes with relevant legal advisors

Requirements:


  • Minimum of a CA(SA) qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a manufacturing and production environment
  • Excellent team player
  • Highly analytical with the ability to operate both operationally and strategically
  • Comfortable working in a fulltime in office role
