Reporting to: Key Accounts Manager**
Business Area: Midrand, Gauteng*****
The main purpose of the job:
Education and experience required:


  • Relevant Diploma in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management is essential
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience in a catering environment is essential
  • Experience within a corporate environment essential
  • Customer service experience is essential
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Own reliable vehicle

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:


  • Knowledge of the catering environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation, diet, and cultural/religious preferences
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety policies and processes relevant to the catering industry

Key areas of responsibilities:


  • Plan and organize functions/events
  • Execute all functions/events while operating within budget.
  • Consistently provide and maintain optimum client service on site
  • Ensure operational excellence is achieved and maintained
  • Assist in managing the operations according to company processes and procedures, with necessary controls in place
  • Achieve prescribed financial targets while operating within budgetary constraints
  • Maintain a professional and comfortable working environment for staff in order to achieve productivity
  • Conceptualise and provide creative and innovative solutions to client's requests for functions
  • Prepare and manage functions of a high calibre with the required flair and innovation
  • Oversee staff in deliveries of functions food and beverages as well as the correct and timeous set up of all functions
  • Talk with clients about the event and offer suggestions to make sure that the request can be met
  • Negotiate the type and cost of service to be provided within budget
  • Organize the venue and make sure that it is appropriately set up with regard to seating and décor
  • Design bespoke menus, in conjunction with the Exec chef, and the client
  • Prepare quotes, finalise billing
  • Manage multiple events that are rolled out at same time in different parts of the building
  • Responsible for profitable operation of the events department along with labour costs etc
  • Develop new and innovative ideas
- both for events and for promotions

  • Problem solving
and hosting during an event.
