MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


  • A relevant NQF Level 5 qualification in Purchasing / Logistics required.
  • At least one (1) year relevant working experience required.
  • Sound knowledge of various processes of acquiring goods and services, tender process and commercial risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of RFQ (Request for Quotation) and RFI (Request for Information) practices.
  • Must have good communication, negotiation, planning and time management skills.
  • Computer literacy i.e. MS Office and SAP required.
  • Must be medically fit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To optimize company buying power / purchasing resources.
  • Prevent disruption to production unit by ensuring on time buying and delivery.
  • Manage individual supplier performance through expediting.
  • Optimise purchasing function by driving costs to a minimum without sacrificing quality of service levels to the end user.
  • Maintain all purchasing information to a consistently high accurate standard.
  • Reduce any commercial risk or possible financial exposure to the business unit by using basic purchasing principles.

Salary:
R427, R450,000.00 per month
