Description
1.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A relevant NQF Level 5 qualification in Purchasing / Logistics required.
- At least one (1) year relevant working experience required.
- Sound knowledge of various processes of acquiring goods and services, tender process and commercial risk analysis.
- Knowledge of RFQ (Request for Quotation) and RFI (Request for Information) practices.
- Must have good communication, negotiation, planning and time management skills.
- Computer literacy i.e. MS Office and SAP required.
- Must be medically fit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To optimize company buying power / purchasing resources.
- Prevent disruption to production unit by ensuring on time buying and delivery.
- Manage individual supplier performance through expediting.
- Optimise purchasing function by driving costs to a minimum without sacrificing quality of service levels to the end user.
- Maintain all purchasing information to a consistently high accurate standard.
- Reduce any commercial risk or possible financial exposure to the business unit by using basic purchasing principles.
Salary:
R427, R450,000.00 per month
