Your key
job responsibilities as the
Procurement Manager in
Cape Town will include:

  • Responsible for inquiries
  • Commercial evaluation of quotations and negotiations with potential suppliers
  • Preparation of the projectspecific purchase contract sample according to client contract and in cooperation with project team
  • Completion of purchase contracts / purchase orders with suppliers
  • Supervision and control of the project's purchasing budget and time schedule of deliveries
  • Invoice approvals
  • Compilation of purchasing statistics
  • Supplier assessment and claim management
  • Monitoring the market (trends, regulations) and the development of acquisition strategies
  • Establish, maintain and improve supplier relations
  • Participations in trade fairs, exhibitions, etc.
Requirements for this
Procurement Manager job in
Cape Town:

  • Higher economical or/and technical degree (from university or a technical college)
  • At least 310 years professional working experience in this field
  • Knowledge about medical equipment and technology market (Medical Equipment, Hospital Technology, Mechanical & Electrical)
  • Knowledge of respective international manufacturers and their local distributors in Middle East is beneficial
  • Basic legal understanding and contract preparation knowhow as well as knowhow in logistics
  • Excellent language skills in English, other languages are beneficial
  • Excellent computer skills (MS-Office, ERP tools etc.)
  • Ready to travel regularly
  • Negotiation skills and perseverance
  • Intercultural competence
  • Knowledge of gulf business culture is beneficial
  • Selfconfident, assertive and highly flexible
