Description

The Asset and Configuration Analyst work closely with internal teams to ensure the implementation of NTTs configuration and asset management policy and standards. The primary responsibility of this position is to define and control the components of services and infrastructure and maintain accurate asset and configuration records. This position conducts presentations to educate and train users on the use of the asset and configuration process.

Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Diagrams and evaluates existing processes. Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Offer detailed support related to the asset and configuration management process

Work on strategic projects to govern the asset and configuration management processes

Participate in the evaluation of existing asset and configuration management systems and the design, implementation and management of new / improved systems for efficiency and effectiveness Conduct presentation to educate and train users on the use of the asset and configuration process

Manage stakeholder relationships by proactively engaging with clients Work closely with internal clients to extract and compile monthly reports as defined and agreed

Bring subject matter expertise in the evaluation of proprietary asset and configuration management tools and recommend those that best meet the organisation's budget, resource, timescale and technical requirements

Ensure compliance with laid down procedures by contributing and participating in both internal and external audits

Requirements

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Relevant qualification

ITIL certification

Required Experience:

Demonstrated experience related to asset and configuration management in a challenging environment

Proven database design and architecture experience Demonstrated experience working with industry asset and configuration management programs, tool and techniques

Proven experience in co-ordination of the asset and configuration management lifecycle and change control processes
