SolidMS is a 100% youth and black owned business entity whose core areas of specialty are Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Project Management and Renewable energy with a vision of diversifying our portfolio as part of our sustainable and developmental focus.

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs.


Minimum Requirements
Qualified Artisan certificate electrical trade test.

Valid ORHVS Certificate (module 1-10) advantageous.

Valid ORHVS Certificate (module 1-3) accepted as well.

Cable jointing certificate accredited by EWSETA advantageous.

Valid driver's license.

N2 electrical engineering certificate.

N6 electrical engineering certificate (advantageous).

3 years' experience in the electrical distribution environment.

Linesman certificate (advantageous).

Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.

Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Performing daily maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems and equipment.

Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.

Diagnosing equipment malfunction and repair and adjust using the necessary test equipment, instruments and other tools of trade.

Install, modify and maintain new and existing systems and equipment by working drawings and sketches and through verbal instructions.

Maintain all motors, transformer and electrical controllers attached to large power systems.

Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.

Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
