_Our client a well-established boutique hotel is urgently looking to employ an experienced Rooms Division Manager at their organization_

_Location:
Franschhoek, Western Cape_


_Requirements:
_

- _ Proven work experience with at least 3 -4 years experience as an Accommodation Manager or in a similar position at a 4* or 5* property._
- _ Must be fluent in English_
- _ Must be ready for a new challenge in life and long-term involvement in his/her future job._
- _ Should be able to work on their own initiative and have the ability to lead and direct a team._
- _ Must exhibit excellent knowledge of guest service._


_ Responsibilities:
_

- _ Ensure that all guest bedrooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standard._
- _ Directly manage the Housekeeping department and also oversee front office operations._
- _ Ensure strict compliance with hotel policies and processes._
- _ Ensure that all staff in Housekeeping and Front office departments comply with Hotel Policy regarding uniform and personal hygiene._
- _ Must be aware of the day's business both in Room Occupancy, Special Requirements, and VIP needs._
- _ Liaise with Reception regarding Room moves, VIP guests, and Special Needs and act on any information given._
- _ Issue keys, room lists, house assistant checklists, and cleaning schedules to housekeeping staff at the beginning of the shift and collect and check them at end of the shift._
- _ Check all work given to the Room Assistants, Linen Porters, and Maintenance throughout the day to ensure standards are being adhered to._
- _ Regularly Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and recreational areas for cleanliness, and appearance and also to make sure these areas are kept as per the hotels' standards._
- _ Ensure all Maintenance work in Bedrooms, Laundry and Public Areas are rectified prior to releasing rooms back to the front desk._
- _ Ensuring that accommodation is clean, well maintained and attractively presented._
- _ Ensure that company standards for guest services, décor, and housekeeping services are met or exceeded._
- _ Ensure Guest and Hotel Laundry and Dry Cleaning is dealt with to the standard laid down by the hotel management_
- _ Maintain par stock levels of stationary, linen and amenity requirements in order to ensure consistency in standards._
- _ Developing and utilising checklists for regular preventative maintenance._
- _ Developing and utilising checklists for regular cleaning and upkeep._
- _ Conduct meetings and training sessions as and when required._
- _ Interview, hire, train, and at times take disciplinary actions on staff members._
- _ Approving Duty rosters for housekeeping and laundry always taking into account the hotel status (Arrival / Departure / Occupancy)._
- _ Minimise wastage of materials and energy through careful monitoring of staff._
- _ Monitor staff performance to ensure that guests are happy._
- _ Train staff on answering guest inquiries about hotel policies and services._
