Senior Brand/Digital Marketing Manager (Retail)

R1.5m - R2m plus bonus

This market leader is at the forefront with their new products and are looking for an an experienced Brand Manager with a track record of achievement within the Retail (B2C) space.

The role is accountable for end-to-end direct retail operations as they role out new stores and products.


Key performance areas

  • Deliver onbrand stores, while adhering to Brand, Marketing, and Consumer Experience guidelines.
  • Deploy commercial programmes, projects, and initiatives through onetoone and onetomany consumer engagements ensuring effective execution of the Consumer Journey to enable flawless omnichannel consumer experiences and meeting Brand, Consumer Experience, and Commercial targets.
  • Provide channel specific consumer insights to support Consumer Experience in identifying and addressing experience gaps and opportunities.
  • Optimise channel efficiency and operational effectiveness on a continuous basis to meet targets.
  • Direct Retail footprint expansion, optimisation, and innovation activities will be led and delivered by you.
  • Ensure a highquality, engaged, and skilled front line by utilising all people management levers.
  • Drive channel digitalization by adopting new features/releases of B2C (e.g., Yellow or DCX) and B2B(2C) (e.g., DTE) digital solutions and defining the requirements for future improvement (Commercial Planning to consolidate demand and lead the digitalization roadmap across all humaninterface channels).
  • Identify and implement activities for direct consumer engagement and lead generation. Use leads from omnichannel campaigns and other channels to engage consumers directly and improve consumer awareness, acquisition (conversion), retention, and service.
  • Participate in the governance of the Marketing & Digital and Commercial Operations leadership teams and give deep channel expertise.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar.
  • Minimum years of brand retail management coupled with consumer journey design or similar
  • Minimum 3 5 years team management/leadership experience
  • Sound experience analysing and interpreting financials (for example market information, A&P expenditure, Brand P&L's)
  • A proven track record of driving innovation and brand growth.
