SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Sales Representative is responsible for Sales and Business Development.

This includes client management, administration and any ad hoc duties requested by the Sales Manager or any other person in a senior position.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales

  • Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets set by Management.
  • Actively identifies potential clients and projects as well as follow up on new leads and referrals.
  • Actively creates new business opportunities for the Company by presenting and selling products and services to new and exiting Clients.
  • Accurately conducts site surveys.
  • Continuously communicates with Clients regarding new products and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback.

Client Management

  • Manages the quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
  • Effectively manages the progress of projects.
  • Managing and developing existing Key Accounts, through quality checks and other followups
  • Actively identifies and resolves Client concerns and/or questions.
  • Provides excellent customer support both during and after a project is completed.

Administration

  • Accurately and timeously prepares sales presentations, proposals, tenders and contracts
  • Accurately and timeously prepares status reports, including sales forecasts, information on activity, closings, followups, and adherence to goals
  • Prepare feedback reports for Management meetings
  • Accurately prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  • Actively develops and maintains the customer base in order to meet all sales forecasts and budgets.

Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Report any deviations that could lead to an accident
  • Participate in Safety Training to improve safety standards
  • Report incidents and accidents before the end of a shift
  • Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedure
  • Look after your own safety and that of other employees
  • Ensure that the SHEQ Management System requirements are met towards customer, internal, ISO, regulatory / legal requirements.
  • Manage and perform all internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Organization's products.
  • Work with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors towards continual improvement of the Management system and report the need for improvement to Management.
  • Keep up standards and regulations with respect to Products and Services

Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with your capabilities and at the request of your Superior

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years sales or Key Account management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' sales experience in the IT or Network Infrastructure industries
  • A relevant degree / diploma will be an advantage
  • Must have Industry related knowledge
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and MS Projects
  • Experience with budgeting and basic finances
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Extensive experience with Customer Service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Must comply with the Company's policies and procedures
