    Job Title:

    A challenging role in Export Trade Lane Control, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and update sailing schedules to ensure timely cargo transportation.
    • Monitor and manage bookings with shipping lines, including tracking daily stack dates.
    • Process bookings and send confirmation to customers in a timely manner.
    • FOLLOW UP ON QUOTES TO MAXIMISE CONTAINER UTILISATION.
    • Clear Internal Sentry (latency) reports to improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop strategic container plans to achieve optimal utilisation per container.
    • Handle hazardous applications and paperwork with care and precision.
    • Send transport and packing instructions to warehouse and transporter teams.
    • Release empty depots prior to container collection from shipping lines.
    • Receive and process required shipping documents, including Shipping Instruction/Bill of Entry/Packing List/Fumigation Certificate.
    • Process shipping line's shipping instruction to ensure smooth operations.
    • Prepare trade documents as required (e.g. CNCA for Luanda).
    • Process creditor invoices and submit RCG to SARS for prompt payment.
    • Release bills for customer collection and process cargo dues.
    • Acquit shipping line accounts promptly.

    Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or Shipping and Logistics preferred.
    • Matric essential.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
    • Previous experience in Export Trade Lane Control advantageous.

    Competencies:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines.
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to use initiative when required.
    • Skilled with a sense of urgency and commitment to delivering results.
