SUMMARY OF ROLE:


To assist in leading the Food and Beverage team in achieving departmental goals and objectives of customer satisfaction and revenue targets.


REPORTS TO:

Food and Beverage Manager


RESPONSIBLE FOR:


  • To deliver high standards of customer service throughout the Food and Beverage experience.
  • Assisting with the management and development of the Food and Beverage Team personnel

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Effective management of Food and Beverage outlets to standard, according to budget constraints whilst maximizing profits
  • Responsible for all guest services and administration in Food and Beverage department
  • Financial reporting, Food and Beverage cost control and budgets to ensure maximum profitability of the department
  • Perform sales and marketing function for Food and Beverage department and achieve 100% of budgeted sales figures
  • Maintain required hygiene and guest satisfaction levels
  • Effectively manage people to maximize the effectiveness of Food and Beverage staff and develop their potential
  • Be an integral member of the management team, proactively identify, communicate, and respond to areas requiring improvement.
  • Responsible for the bars and restaurants as well ensuring all required reports and system checks are completed per shift
  • Cost control and stock control
  • Ensure high levels of guest service and hygiene
  • Ensure adequate staffing based on operational requirements as well compiling of weekly rosters.
  • Ensure the service of all meals, snacks and beverages prepared and presented to specified standards
  • To conduct regular divisional communications meetings and ensure that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
  • To oversee and assist in the recruitment and selection of all Food and Beverage employees.
  • To oversee the punctuality and appearance of all Food and Beverage employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • To maximize the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.
  • To plan and implements effective training programs for the Food and Beverage employees in coordination with the HR Manager.
  • To encourage employees to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contribution to the success of the operation.
  • To support the implementation of company policy, demonstrating and reinforcing the company's Values and Culture Characteristics.
  • To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.
  • To ensure that all employees deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service.
  • To ensure that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
  • To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
