    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data construction and interpretation. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing infrastructure for data generation. This involves building and maintaining optimal data pipeline architectures, assembling large complex data sets, and ensuring that data is readily available to data scientists, analysts, and other users.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain data pipeline architecture to ensure seamless data flow
    • Assemble large complex data sets that meet business requirements
    • Create and implement internal process improvements
    • Design and build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources
    • Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs
    • Maintain data security across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions
    • Develop data tools for analytics and data scientist teams

    Qualifications:

    • NQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology
    • 10 years of practical development experience

    Required Technical Exposure:

    • Advanced SQL
    • Advanced Data Analysis
    • Database skills and understanding of DB table relationships
    • Data Modelling
    • Advanced Excel (including advanced functions and pivot tables)
    • Data Governance principles
    • Understanding of ETL Processes
    • Extensive skill in Data Analysis and Modelling
    • Knowledge of and experience in Loan IQ
    • Back-end on MSSQL (with potential consideration for PostgreSQL)
    • Azure
