Our client is looking to fill the following vacancy.

Diocesan Secretary

Pietermaritzburg

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and monitoring of staff performance and KPI's.
Maintain effective, efficient, and transparent Financial Management and Controls Systems.
Adhere to all legal and statutory requirements, and returns.
Manage and convey all legal and financial decisions.
Oversee compliance on all tax matters.
Attend to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Effectively management of movable and immovable assets.
Ensure effective and ethical governance.
Financial and asset management.
Oversee and preparation of budgets and funds.
Effective management of human resources.
Effectively Control Risk Management.
Manage the insurance portfolio.
Ensure proper Investment Management
Manage the various committees and memberships.
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
Preparation for Audits
Manage the Pension Fund
Effective liaison and communication with the Board of Trustees
Qualification:
CA (SA) or similar qualification
Knowledge of Accounting Software, ie Sage, Smartedge and SAP
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in the same / related role in management of a large organization.
Skills:
Ability to make decisions, Excellent verbal, written and communication skills in English.
The ability to speak and communicate in isiZulu is an advantage.
