Durban. Established concern within the Logistics industry seeks Supply Chain Planner with excellent analytical and organisational ability, and exposure to the shipping and planning environment.

Responsibilities:

Planning, organizing, and controlling the loading or discharge for a particular vessel or other transport modes
Planning and preparing vessel loading and discharge operations
Liaising directly with customers and working strictly within vessel and terminal planning procedures and protocols
Warehouse and floor planning
Ensure effective vessel planning
Ensure effective stock management for loading and discharge operations
Ensure that all documentation / administration is implemented and completed
Always exceed customer expectations

Requirements:

Minimum matric
Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics and / or warehousing an advantage
Exposure to shipping and planning environment
Knowledge of shipping and terminal operations an advantage
Knowledge of perishable and general cargo protocols
Ability to work under pressure and produce accurate results
Willing to work after hours, including weekends and public holidays (as and when required)
Welldeveloped planning and organizational skills
Analytical skills
