    Accountant Job Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant. The role involves various tasks and responsibilities that require strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to analyze financial data.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Transactions:
      • Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
      • Prepare and send client statements and age analyses in a timely manner.
      • Collect funds from debtors and manage cash flow effectively.
      • Finalize and process supplier invoices according to company policies.
      • Finalize and process customer invoices accurately.
    2. Reporting and Compliance:
      • Compile VAT reporting for filing EU client VAT returns.
      • Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment files.
    3. Liaison and Communication:
      • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding invoicing queries, payment queries, and other related matters.

      Requirements:

      1. Qualifications:
        • Knowledge of financial principles and accounting software.
        • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights.
        • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
        • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
        • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
        • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting.
        • Professional certification (e.g., SAIPA/ACCA) is a plus.
        • Experience in international logistics/freight industry and multi-currency accounting is beneficial.
      2. Desired Experience:
        • Previous experience in HR services, recruitment, and selection is a plus.
