Administrator (Sherq) - East London, South Africa - Bidvest International Logistics
Description
Job Purpose:
To maintain all aspects of the Sherq programme at the Bidvest International Logistics, East London, Military Road Facility and to ensure the compliance of statutory and legal requirements safely and in accordance with the organisations' Standards and Procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum matric level of education
- Qualification in Health and Safety or Environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- 12 years experience in a Warehousing environment in a SHE role
- Excellent administration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Safety
- Maintain legal compliance requirements according to the OHSA 85 of 1993 and BIL standards
- Ensure that the necessary documentation is available for internal and external verification audits
- Inspect work of contractors, to ensure that compliance to BIL safety rules and procedures and the OHS Act
- Ensure that all SHE maintenance schedules are monitored and updated for completion
- Prepare documentation for monthly SHE and management meetings
- Drafting of incident reports
- Maintaining of all necessary records as per the SHERQ Management Systems
Quality
- Manage all documents in accordance with ISO 900
- Assist the SHERQ Coordinator with preparation for the ISO 9001 audit
- Maintaining of all necessary records
Risk
- Ensure that all incidents/accidents are reported through to the Sherq Coordinator
- Maintaining of all necessary records
General
- Maintain registers and spreadsheets for Sherq
- Ensure that daily filing is completed
- Obtain quotes for consumables, PPE, office supplies and equipment
